  1. How long will my Aligator Electrodes last?

    Your Aligator electrodes will last 12-18 months, depending on bathing load and swimming pool water management.
  2. How do I know when my Aligator Electrodes need changing?

    Your Aligator Swimming Pool Water Purification System is equipped with an alarm and will warn you when it is time to change the Aligator electrodes. However, monthly inspection and cleaning will prolong their life.
  3. How many hours a day does the Aligator run?

    This is dependent on pool size and seasonal temperatures. The Aligator Swimming Pool Water Purification System runs whenever your pump is on, for an average of 4-5 hours over a 12 hour period during the summer, and 3 hours during the winter.
  4. What are the running costs?

    The Aligator Swimming Pool Water Purification System is an eco-friendly water purification system and costs less to run than a new energy efficient lightbulb!
  5. Is the Aligator system easy to fit?

    You’ll be amazed at how easy the system is to install and use. Please see our Instruction Manual or the Installation section of this site for more details.
  6. Where can I buy replacement Aligator Electrodes?

    Aligator Electrodes are proprietary to the Aligator system and can be purchased from any one of our Official Dealers. See Dealer List.
  7. How do I change the Aligator Electrodes?

  8. What size system do I need?

    The size of your Aligator Water Purification System depends on the size of your pool. Please see the Residential section of this site for more details.
  9. Do I turn my Aligator system off in the winter?

    There are summer and winter settings for your Aligator Water Purification system. Please refer to our Instruction Manual for more details.
  10. How do I know my copper level is correct?

    There are various factors that can affect the copper level in your pool. Please refer to our Instruction Manual for more details.
  11. I have an allergy to chlorine. Will the Aligator system help?

    Yes! The Aligator Swimming Pool Water Purification System uses an ionic water treatment or water ionisation process to purify your swimming pool water, drastically reducing the amount of chlorine you need to maintain your pool. It is an eco-friendly, cost-effective chlorine alternative which is good news for swimmers who are allergic to chlorine, and good news for owners wanting to keep running costs down!
