The Aligator Water Treatment System uses a natural process called water ionisation to purify your swimming pool — keeping it clean, clear and safe with minimal chemicals. The system releases tiny, controlled amounts of copper, silver and zinc ions into the water. Silver naturally kills bacteria, copper is one of the most effective algae treatments ever discovered, and zinc helps tackle black algae that often thrives in warmer conditions. Together, they create a powerful, chemical-free disinfectant that circulates throughout your pool.

These ions are pH-neutral, non-corrosive and completely safe for swimmers. Unlike chlorine, they don’t evaporate in sunlight or cause irritation to eyes or skin, making the Aligator System an eco-friendly and family-friendly alternative to chlorine-heavy pools. Because the system provides a lasting residual protection, it continues to work even during power cuts and eliminates the need for additional chemicals such as flocculants, clarifiers or algaecides.

The Aligator System only requires around 1ppm of free chlorine, in line with recommendations from the Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group (PWTAG). This means chlorine use — and cost — can be reduced by up to 67%, giving you softer, gentler water and lower running costs. Once installed, the system automatically monitors its electrodes and your pool’s condition, alerting you only if attention is needed.
